Summer School Information for Rising 9th Graders (current 8th)

Summer school will be offered this year at each CUSD high school. Students will be enrolled at their own high school.

The following sessions will be offered:

  •          Summer Online session: June 14-July 21 (Teachers available on site if needed - Monday-Thursday 8:30 am - 1:30 pm; no school July 5)
  •          Summer In-Person Session 1: June 14-June 30 8:30 -1:30 Mon-Thurs
  •          Summer In-Person Session 2: July 1- July 21  8:30 -1:30 Mon-Thurs  (No school on Monday July 5; classes will be held on Friday July 8 instead)

Students will select 1 of 2 options:

1)            100% online (Teachers will be on campus during school hours for students to come in for questions, take exams, or have a place to work, etc).   Students may finish the course earlier if they desire but the course must be completed no later than July 21.  NOTE: All students enrolled in Health (and A-G courses) MUST take exams in person even if they are in the Online option for this course.

2).           100% In-Person: Old style meet with the teacher every day on their own high school campus. Students that miss more than 1 day of class for any reason will be dropped and given the option to enroll in the Online program. They then must complete the entire class online. Students may select from either Session 1 or Session 2.

Students may enroll in a maximum of 10 credits combined from all sessions and programs (including credits taken outside CUSD).
